As a busy business owner, police officer and father of two, Jason understands how precious training time can be. A flexible schedule is a must for the busy professional and tweaks to the timing are what we does best. With a proven system of early season base building from heart rate monitoring and improvements through benchmark testing, we have helped many amateurs and elites find their PRs out on course. Don't like technology, we have helped athletes compete in Kona just on RPE (how you feel).
Jason is a USA Triathlon Level 3 Coach, and USA Cycling Level 1 coach with a strong focus on heart rate base training at the beginning of the season. Basing most of the workouts on time, rather than distance, gives the athlete an opportunity to plan their day around their training (as well as their loved ones' days).
Jason has been competing in triathlon for almost a decade and knows how busy life can get when training as well. His philosophy is that the training should be enjoyable, and not feel like another job. If "life gets in the way" of a training session, the schedule can be modified and adapted.
A mentally focused triathlete, Jason wants to work with those that have a goal. Mental toughness in a race setting is something that can be developed with trust and understanding. The athlete has to TRUST the process of training and understand that the Long, Slow training now will carry them across their finish line in the future weeks.
