I am a Registered Nurse with my Masters in Public Health. I began racing triathlons professionally in October 2019. I started my running career when I was in 6th grade, but after pole vaulting in college (D1) and running marathons I decided to give triathlons a try. I love the diversity of training and lower risk of injury that triathlon training offers!
I am a USAT Level 1 certified and Training Peaks Level 1 certified coach. I take a holisitc approach to coaching, and feel every athlete deserves a great coach, no matter your background or abilities. I value communication between myself and my athletes so that I am up to date on how the athlete is feeling and any needs or wants they have. I place emphasis on strength training that is specific to the athlete as a tool to prevent injuries. Most importantly, I understand that most athletes are working and have other things going on in their lives (family, job, hobbies, travel etc) and am flexible and attentive to the demands that other stressors take on the body. I work with the athlete to reach new limits and find their "next gear" safely. I have been mentored by my current coach, Brett Jenner, for 9 months on creating training plans and analyzing training data. We also offer a spring training camp in Florida every year, which is super fun (and instructive!)
