Xterra and road triathlon coaching, half and full marathon coaching, and nutrition planning. 2 Doc stands for myself, a board certified sports medicine physician and my wife a PhD registered dietitian. We offer online coaching and nutrition plans as well as workshops, and individual sessions. We are both level 1 triathlon coaches. I combine my coaching along with sports medicine expertise. My wife, Cindy Dallow, an experienced Ironman triathlete and marathoner, focuses on sports nutrition.
I come from a running background having completed 36 marathons with a PR of 2 hours 45 minutes. I have been doing triathlons for over 30 years, and realize it is the perfect example of a lifelong sport (s). As a Senior age grouper I accept the fact that my PR days may be over but I still like to compete.
My medical background in Sports medicine helps me understand the physiology behind exercise and I firmly believe Exercise is Medicine. Most injuries that triathletes incur fall in to the overuse category, and are best treated with substituting other types of exercise, relative rest, and physical therapy.
As a coach I am pragmatic and interested in working with athletes from beginners to the competitive age grouper. I enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of Xterras and mountain biking, but do and understand both road and off road triathlons.
