Coach Greg Marshall has nearly a decade of experience with run training and racing. He was also a standout athlete on his collegiate rowing team, and has been on two multi-day backpacking efforts totaling to over 600 miles.
Greg is a TrainingPeaks accredited coach and a UESCA Certified Ultrarunning Coach. He puts a high value on two things: understanding the whole athlete (both running and the life aspects that influence training), and backing up training with strong scientific foundations. His coaching philosophy has been heavily influenced by the work of authors like Alex Hutchinson and Christie Aschwanden as well as sports physiology researchers at Montana State University, University of Calgary, University of Colorado, and more. He truly loves the continuous education aspect of coaching and is always incorporating the newest breakthroughs into how he trains his athletes.
