Norwegian endurance coach specialising in triathlon, IRONMAN, running and long-distance performance. MSc in Sports Science with more than 20 years of coaching experience. Former professional triathlete and Norseman Xtreme Triathlon winner. I coach athletes from beginners to elite level through individual, evidence-based training, physiological testing and mental performance coaching. Remote coaching worldwide and in-person testing in Oslo.
I have worked full-time as an endurance coach and mental performance coach since 2011, helping athletes develop from their individual starting point towards ambitious but realistic goals.
I coach beginners preparing for their first triathlon or endurance event, as well as experienced age-group and elite athletes seeking improved performance. Training is always individual and adapted to your physiology, experience, goals, health, available time and everyday life.
My approach combines sports science with practical coaching experience. When relevant, I use training data, lactate and VO2 testing to establish individual intensity zones, monitor progress and give every session a clear purpose. I emphasise controlled intensity, consistency, recovery and sustainable long-term development.
Mental performance, communication and athlete development are central to my coaching. I help athletes manage expectations, build confidence, take ownership of the process and perform under pressure. I also provide guidance on strength training, nutrition, race preparation and pacing.
I have specialist knowledge of female physiology, including training during perimenopause and menopause, and extensive experience in triathlon, IRONMAN, running, swimming and ultra-distance events.
Coaching is available remotely in English or Norwegian, with in-person physiological testing and swim technique sessions in Oslo.
