World Champion Paddler, Coach, Teacher & Founder of The Stanley Edge
Leanne has been coaching paddling for over 20 years. Her degree in Kinesiology has provided a solid foundation in the training principles, physiology and biomechanics of paddling. With a degree in Education, a Masters of Educational Leadership and almost 20 years of teaching under her belt, Leanne is well versed in the theories and practices of how people learn.
The only thing that eclipses her passion for teaching is her passion for getting people on the water and sharing her love of paddling. Her ability to find words to describe the feelings we are trying to achieve on the water is one of her greatest strengths, along with the analogies that you won't be able to forget once you hear them ... just ask some of the paddlers who have worked with her!
As the current World Va'a Sprint Champion, 25 World Championship medals, and counting, to her credit, she brings a champion mindset to every aspect of her coaching practice. She practices what she preaches in terms of the value of recovery and consistency. Living with persistent post concussion symptoms since 2019 and Type 1 Diabetes, her resiliancy and persistence are two things that draw people to Leanne.
Leanne holds the firm belief that together we all get better. To be able to continue to perform with the best of the best and also raise up so many others she works with around her in the process, come find out what The Stanley Edge is all about.
