When you’re an athlete, one of the most critical factors to becoming the best at your sport is not how often you train, but how you train. You can run for an hour every day, seven days a week; however, if you aren’t training correctly, you won’t progress and reach your end goal.
One of the critical things to remember is that as athletes, there is no hard and fast rule on how best to train, as you are all individuals, have different goals and have varying skill sets.
Well, to start with, my name is Amanda Moore.
One of the key benefits of working alongside me is that I have a background in endurance events as opposed to always having coached, so I understand the demands you are under, which helps me identify your strengths, as well as where you could improve.
Initially, when I started Coaching, I only worked with runners; however, I soon branched out to Triathlon Coaching due to my passion for the sport.
Accreditations, do I have them? Yes. I am an Accredited Performance Triathlon Coach with Triathlon Australia, as well as Head Coach with The Active Project. I also work with Athletics Australia as an Accredited Level 2 Advanced Recreational Run Coach. Another coaching position that I hold dear is training a local triathlon squad in Brisbane.
On a personal note, my son Arthur has given me even more of an understanding of that "elusive" time management and managing a work/life and fitness balance.
I don't just train competitive and professional athletes (Kona World Championship qualifiers), so if you are a novice and worried about finding the right coach, rest assured I can help you as well. At the moment, I am also coaching several mature mums who are prepping for a half marathon (and on reduced schedules as you can imagine with children) as well as some advanced clients who are preparing for 100km Ultra Runs and Ironman.
Also, if you are remote, rest assured I can help you, as I coach both online and locally.
