I'm a holistic endurance coach specializing in helping endurance optimize performance & health - helping athletes avoid the "fit but unhealthy syndrome." So in addition to daily custom workouts, I dive in depth on nutrition/diet, developing metabolic efficiency, balancing health/hormones, managing stress, improving functional fitness and more. I fell in love with endurance sports in 2006 and have never looked back. It's what I love an am passionate about, and built my career to be involved in sport forever. I have a master's degree in kinesiology (exercise science/strength training emphasis) from CSUF, am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), and nutrition expert. I've also interviewed hundreds of experts on my podcast, Endurance Planet, and in 10+ years hosting, I have come across probably every imaginable question or issue related to endurance athletes, accumulating tons of knowledge along the way.
Personally, I raced triathlons competitively for close to a decade, all distance from sprint to Ironman, along with other endurance races (running, MTB, SUP, etc.), accumulating more than 100 races and dozens of podiums in those years. After many years of going hard, I decided to take a step back to focus more on health, building/managing my career, and maintaining a good life balance. My shift led me to find my next life passion, functional health, and in particular I started learning how many endurance athletes can become very unhealthy from the demanding nature of the sport(s) we do. I now specialize in helping athletes fix themselves from overtraining, etc., and/or avoid common health issues in the first place.
