Hi, I’m Josh Dew—founder and head coach at Swimace. I work with triathletes and open water swimmers to improve their technique, swim smarter, and race faster. My approach focuses on blending pool-based fundamentals with the demands of racing in unpredictable open water conditions.
My own journey began in competitive swimming, where I made state finals and medaled at regional level. In my mid-20s, I transitioned into triathlon and quickly found success—winning state age group titles, earning podiums at Australian Championships, and placing second in the world in the 25–29 category. Racing at that level taught me how critical swim efficiency is—not just fitness.
That insight shaped how I coach today. I use detailed video analysis, structured weekly programs, and focused group sessions to help athletes of all levels make lasting gains. Whether it’s fixing your catch, preparing for a 70.3, or finding confidence in open water, I tailor my coaching to your needs.
At Swimace, I’m all about practical, no-fluff swimming advice. If you're ready to train with purpose and swim with confidence, I’d love to help you get there.
