CycleScienceTraining specializes in elite level physiological assessment and coaching programs for endurance athletes based on our advanced physiology lab where we provide testing for VO2 Max, gas analysis (O2/CO2 exchange,) Onset of Blood Lactate (OBLA) testing, MOXY SmO2 testing, Maximum Cadence Test (MCT), Critical Power Testing, Peak Anaerobic Power Testing (PAPT), Functional Power Test (FTP) and Body Composition Assessment. All of our coaching packages are based on these critical metrics.


Steve Crain

Steve Crain is currently coaching 25 endurance athletes from professional athletes to beginner, focusing specifically on cyclists, triathletes and runners. He was also the Chair of the Health Science, Wellness and Physical Education Department of Pierce College. Prior to moving into the private sector to coach cyclists, triathletes and runners, Steve developed and was the program coordinator for the Diagnostic Health and Fitness Technician Program at Pierce College and oversaw the Exercise Physiology Lab at Pierce College.
Along with presenting research in the area of Exercise and Sport Science at the local, state, regional, national and international levels, and publishing repeatedly in scientific journals, he has also participated in television, and radio appearances addressing health and exercise performance issues and has coached hundreds of athletes in various sports for more than three decades. Steve is currently the co-owner and co-founder of CycleScienceTraining in Washington State.
