Level 3 MTB skills and Performance Coach
Coaching began when I had to take a Monday to Saturday 9 - 5 job, thus not allowing me to train to compete at a high level
I pride myself on treating all riders as individuals looking at getting the best out of them and achieving the goals we set down between us. Whether they just want to better themselves as a rider or go on to win championships. I am happy to adapt sessions to suit the riders needs as necessary.
A number of achievable goals will be set throughout the season, but if the rider is under 18 the agreed goals will need agreeing by both Rider and their parent/guardian. What I’ll offer is an open and honest opinion, a safe environment to train in, with coaching levels that can be adjusted after feedback has been reviewed.
I have a wealth of knowledge of MTB racing at all levels which I am happy to share with you; from diet to time keeping, kit and preparation to full on training for top races. I’ll also look at ways to improve the way I coach by using the latest technology and techniques.
What I ask from you is to always be open and honest with your feedback, keep your training diary up to date, work to be a better rider tomorrow than you are today, listen and learn, arranging yourself in an organised professional manner, be fully focused on goals and keep the communication lines open.
If at anytime you are found to have been involved in the use of banned substances, mechanical fraud or even poor race etiquette, the Coach –Rider partnership will be jeopardised.
