I studied Sport and Exercise Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast, this sparked an interest in competing in Powerlifting and Strongman competitions. I represented QLD in powerlifting at a National level.
At the end of 2014, I travelled over to the Big Island of Hawaii to watch the Ironman World Championships in Kona. Gaining inspiration from watching my this event I soon entered the triathlon world. Ash stopped competing competitively due to being diagnosed with Diaphragmatic Endometriosis but she still does the odd swim, bike or run.
