Dr Simon Sostaric is a distinguished exercise physiologist, sports scientist and coach. He completed his physiology doctorate at Victoria University (Melbourne, Australia), investigating the complex mechanisms of electrolyte regulation and skeletal muscle fatigue during intense exercise. Simon is the founder and director of Melbourne Sports & Allied Health Clinic - a private practice specialising in sport and athlete performance, Simon has practiced for over 25 years in Australia and around the globe.
Dr Sostaric has accomplished an international track record in numerous sports, including; professional cycling; running; triathlon; all football codes; adventure sports; Formula One GP; motoGP. He is regularly engaged by professional sporting organisations, institutions and athletes - to provide innovative, evidence based and ethical high performance training, recovery & intervention practices.
Dr Sostaric's research expertise includes; exercise induced fatigue; muscle damage; systemic inflammation; metabolic, hormonal & electrolyte disturbances; immune dysfunction; heat and hypoxic physiology. Dr Sostaric’s research outcomes have been presented internationally, and published in high impact peer reviewed international journals.
