Howdy! I grew up riding bikes with my family all over the US and fell in love with mountain biking while riding in Moab. I started MTB racing in college and found my way into cyclocross and road racing. At the same time I made a switch from engineering to kinesiology because I was interested in optimizing the body and learning how to stay healthy while training at a high level. I continued on in graduate school where I studied the physiology of master's athletes and bone health of female mountain bikers, road cyclists, and runners. I have since put a lot of time into creating strength programs for my athletes and collaborated with NorCal cycling in creating a Cyclist's Strength Program.

I do project-contract work for Podium Sports Medicine under Dr. Kevin Sprouse which allows insight into the professional road racing world. Besides racing for Team Winston-Salem, I travel to and race with my family in fun events like Marji Gesick, local enduro races, Leadville 100, and (a personal favorite) the Turkey Trot 5k in Farragut, TN.
