Sharon is a NCCP certified competition level coach in Canada. She coaches all levels of triathletes, from beginners to podium age groupers, from the try a tri distance to full distance triathlons. She also is a run coach, working with athletes from the 5km all the way up to ultra marathons. Since 2010 Sharon has been helping triathletes and runners achieve their goals through careful planning and nurturing the coach - athlete relationship with effective communication.
Sharon has been an athlete her whole life, and fell in love with long distance running in her teens. She also spent time competing in summer swim club and cross country skiing. She went on to run track and cross country with the University of Saskatchewan. Looking for a new challenge in 2006 Sharon made the switch to triathlon and since then has put in numerous top performances including an ITU gold in standard distance in 2014 as well as a fourth place finish in 2015. In 2016 Sharon was the female overall age group winner at Ironman Calgary 70.3 and placed second in her age group at Ironman Arizona earning a spot to Kona. Sharon's pr's include a 2:10 standard distance tri, 4:30 half IM, 10:11 IM, 38 10km, 1:27 half marathon and 3:12 marathon.
In 2010 Sharon decided to take her passion for sports and became both a certified triathlon coach and a certified personal trainer. She has since worked with hundreds of athletes through triathlon, duathlon, running, and strength training to achieve their goals.
Sharon designs training programs that are customized to not only your goals, but are designed to fit your life. Sharon works hard to help you find a balance between training, family and work. Programs are typically delivered in four week blocks. Communication between athlete and coach is strongly encouraged via the use of training peaks logs and device uploads, as well as texting, email and phone calls.
