Sarah has been a professional mountain bike and cyclocross racer since 2008 and working as a coach since 2012. She uses her experience as a racer and combines a holistic, personal approach with science-based design. She works with athletes from all backgrounds and levels of experience, from new riders to pros and juniors to masters racers. Sarah works with athletes from all cycling disciplines.
Sarah is a USA Cycling Level 2 Certified Coach. She began riding bikes when a torn ACL sidelined her from Nordic ski racing. She initially dabbled in road racing, then began her mountain bike career in endurance racing, hitting the podium in over ten solo 24-hour races and other endurance and ultra-endurance events. She won the 2007 and 2009 solo races at the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo and finished 4th, 3rd and 2nd in the 2007-2009 24 Hour National Solo Championships. In 2010 she won the 24 Hour National Championships in the duo female category (partner KC Holley) and placed 3rd in the Park City Point to Point. Since 2011, Sarah has changed her focus to include more XC and multi-day stage racing. In 2011, she finished the Pro XCT series ranked 8th. Sarah raced the Pro XCT in 2011-2017 and competed in the North American World Cups. She finished third in the 2013 Trans-Sylvania Epic and second in the Pisgah Stage Race. In 2015 and 2016 Sarah won the GC and all three stages at the Vietnam Victory Challenge. She won the duo coed GC at the 2015 BC Bike Race. She won the Utah Cyclocross series in 2011 and 2016. In 2017 she was the GC winner at the Quebec Singletrack Experience, finished second GC at the El Reto del Quetzal stage race in Guatamala and finished seventh and eighth at the Midway and Missoula Pro XCT races.
Sarah lives in Salt Lake where the trails are abundant and the roads climb quiet mountain canyons.
