Sarah Kaufmann   PLAN7 Endurance Coaching

An eight year pro on the MTB endurance and XC circuit, Sarah uses her experience as a racer to create well-designed individual training plans for her athletes. Sarah specializes in athletes dealing with overtraining and chronic stress and fatigue.

Sarah is a USA Cycling Level 2 Certified Coach. With her own experience having mono and the resulting chronic fatigue implications, she specializes in working with athletes dealing with overtraining and chronic stress and fatigue. Sarah primarily coaches mountain bike and cyclocross athletes but works with athletes from all cycling disciplines. She also offers individualized mountain bike skills training and group clinics.

Sarah began riding bikes when a torn ACL sidelined her from Nordic ski racing. She initially dabbled in road racing, then began her mountain bike career in endurance racing, hitting the podium in over ten solo 24-hour races and other endurance and ultra-endurance events. She won the 2007 and 2009 solo races at the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo and finished 4th, 3rd and 2nd in the 2007-2009 24 Hour National Solo Championships. In 2010 she won the 24 Hour National Championships in the duo female category (partner KC Holley) and placed 3rd in the Park City Point to Point. Since 2011, Sarah has changed her focus to include more XC and multi-day stage racing. In 2011, she finished the Pro XCT series ranked 8th. Sarah raced the Pro XCT in 2011-2014 and competed in the North American World Cups. She finished third in the 2013 Trans-Sylvania Epic and second in the Pisgah Stage Race. In 2015, Sarah won the GC and all three stages at the inaugural Vietnam Victory Challenge. She also won the duo coed GC at the BC Bike Race.
