Philosophy: Training for triathlon does not have to be a full time job. Each athlete can reach the goals they set out to achieve while still having time to enjoy their families and be engaged in their careers. This is done by creating individual training programs based on the athletes needs/available training time & providing knowledgable information and feedback to keep the athlete engaged.
Several years ago I traded in my eight to five job in order to pursue my passion for coaching. Sport, running and later triathlon, had always been the part of my life that I enjoyed the most. I finally realized that I could make my passion my “job” and went through multiple courses to receive my certifications for triathlon coaching (through USAT as well as USAT Youth & Juniors) and running coaching (through USATF).
In the management positions I held in the corporate world I had the opportunity to hone in my skills of managing, administrating and, most importantly, training. Training others was the most rewarding part of my career because it gave me the ability to help individuals learn and grow.
Over the past several years I have been able to watch my athletes grow both physically and mentally as they learn new skills, set goals, and reach those goals.
I am certified in the following areas:
USAT L1 & USAT Youth & Juniors.
USATF L1
Training Peaks University L1.
I have competed in: Long Course (IM), 70.3 (Including World Championships), Olympic & Sprint events, Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and Cycling specific racing (road races, criterium, stage races).
