Ryan is the Sports Performance Manager at CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center and Head Coach for the Boulder Junior Cycling MTB Race Development Team. He previously spent 2 years as Team Manager of the BMC MTB Development Team and has been coaching with USA Cycling’s Junior MTB Development Program since 2008. Prior to this he spent over 8 years coaching, performing physiological assessments, and providing bike fitting services through Carmichael Training Systems.

Ryan has a passion for cycling and coaching, particularly in competitive mountain biking. He is a USA Cycling Level 1 Coach, USAC Certified Skills Instructor, Camp Manager for the USAC Rocky Mountain MTB Talent ID Camp from from 2009-2015, and has coached at multiple Junior and U23 MTB European Race Camps. 

He has previously competed in many endurance sports with national and international race experience from adventure racing to MTB racing to duathlon, to name a few. He currently continues to race mostly MTB's as a Category 1 racer while trying to keep up with the fast juniors on his team!
