I am a British Triathlon Federation Level 3 coach as well as a REPs registered Level 3 Personal Trainer.
I am the Head Coach of Denbighshire Triathlon Club and Ruthin TriStars Junior triathlon club, having founded the club back in 2010.


Having always been involved in sport in one guise or another from cross country skiing, to athletics, through to rugby league, I got involved in my first triathlon in 1994. Like most triathletes I started off with a local sprint event before eventually hitting the dizzy heights of Ironman. I have a real passion for triathlon not only as a coach, but as a tutor, race organiser, and athlete. My motto is 'Ready for Anything' which means' your needs and wants will always be my top priority.

Over the past few years I have continued to develop my knowledge and skills as a coach. I have been fortunate enough to work with a lot of fantastic athletes from novice, to age grouper, through to working with the Welsh Triathlon Regional Academy as the regional coach working with elite youths and juniors.

I was awarded Denbighshire community coach of the year in 2014, and in 2015 I was a finalist at the National Sports Coach awards and followed this up by winning the, Sports Wales Community Coach of the Year for 2015.
