I’m an ultra-distance cycling coach and athlete. I focus on human-centred, evidence-based coaching for riders tackling ultras, stage races, or long-term cycling goals. From The Munga to BikingMan to Cape Epic, my plans are simple, practical, and effective—everything you need, nothing you don't.

I have a deep passion for cycling and I’ve evolved with the sport—adapting my fitness, mindset, and approach to meet new challenges. Alongside leading RIDEANDRACE, I work as a freelance associate coach at Bike2Max Studio in Cape Town, South Africa.
My first attempt at The Munga ended early — lost in the Karoo and unprepared for the mental demands of ultra-distance racing. That experience became a turning point. I returned in 2016 with greater focus, holding 3rd place late in the race before a navigation error set me back to 7th. The experience reinforced how powerful aligned preparation, mindset, and purpose can be, and soon after RIDEANDRACE was founded to help others unlock that same potential on the bike and beyond.
I work best with athletes who want to pursue meaningful performance while protecting long-term health and sustainability. My philosophy is simple: I coach people first and athletes second. You’re a person with a life before you’re an athlete with a training plan. Every programme is built around the individual — sometimes highly structured, sometimes flexible — but always intentional, aiming to improve fitness, resilience, confidence, and quality of life.
My experience includes 12- and 24-hour solo road and MTB racing, self-supported and semi-supported ultra-endurance racing, and national elite single- and multi-day stage racing. I am a UCI Level 1 Certified Coach.
Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try — let’s get started.
