As a coach and athlete, I specialize in ultra-endurance cycling. My training solutions are primarily for 12 and 24 hours, self-supported and semi supported multi-day stage and single day ultra formats. However, it extends to the shorter road, gravel and mountain bike disciplines and is for individuals who want to use cycling to improve their overall well-being.​

Hi! I am Rafeeq, owner of RIDEANDRACE
I have a genuine passion for the sport and a long history in adapting my fitness for the different cycling disciplines. In addition to RIDEANDRACE I'm an associate coach at Bike2Max Studio in Cape Town, South Africa.

Where It Started
After getting lost in the Karoo and then calling it quits at TheMunga, my first ultra, I decided to go back in 2016 to try again... I finished 7th overall. This small victory became a reference point as to what could be possible, a few weeks later I launched an ultra-endurance cycling coaching business.

What I Aim To Achieve
Is to have a positive impact on your attitude, physical development and lifestyle.

Who Would I Like To Work With?
Racer or Non-racer, a cyclist who is willing to shape their lifestyle and environment to match their realistic aspirations.

My Approach
Is recognizing and understanding your individuality.

Consistency is essential, and together we will build this first.

Race Experience
12 and 24 hour solo racing, self and semi supported ultra endurance racing, single day provincial and national, and multi-day stage racing such as Cape Epic and Cape Pioneer Trek.
