Coach Bio

I help athletes understand their training instead of simply following a plan. I specialise in athlete-centred coaching for both triathletes and single-sport endurance athletes balancing ambitious goals with work and family life. My philosophy is simple: reflect, adapt and progress.

Alongside fully coached programmes, I offer swim coaching, video swim analysis and weekly group sessions.

I believe the best results come when athletes understand their training rather than simply following instructions. Every athlete is different, and coaching should adapt to the individual, their goals and the realities of everyday life.

I work with athletes of varying experience levels, from those preparing for their first event to athletes pursuing podium finishes and qualification standards. Regardless of the goal, the focus is always on consistent, sustainable progress.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences, a British Triathlon Level 2 Diploma, a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and a TrainingPeaks Level 2 Accreditation. I am committed to continually improving as a coach so that I can provide athletes with evidence-informed guidance while keeping the human side of coaching at the centre of the process.

I have competed in triathlon for nearly 20 years, qualifying for age-group world championships on several occasions. I have also completed multiple ultramarathons, long-distance cycling events, criterium races and time trials.

Communication is central to my coaching. Training plans are important, but they are only one part of the process. My aim is to help athletes become more confident, informed and self-aware so they can make better decisions and continue enjoying the sport for years to come.
