My goal on TrainingPeaks is provide training plans that will guide runners with busy lives to track down PRs from the 5K to the half marathon; eventually the marathon, still working on that one. I have spent many years trying to perfect training plans and through this experience I have developed an understanding of what works and what does not. My plans are certainly not my own, but rather a result of the countless great running minds I have been exposed to over the past 20 years of running.
Running has been apart of my life from a young age. I have 3 older siblings who I watched, from a young age, run high school cross country. I caught the bug early-on. I ran high school & collegiate cross country and track. I also assistant coach cross country for my old high school, Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, WI.
Outside of family-time, work and coaching XC, I am usually training for some race. I've had a lot of fun over the years trying to come up with the perfect training plan. As I eventually learned, there is no perfect training plan. All I can do is provide you with a plan that I know worked while emphasizing the significance of trusting your body, emphasizing recovery, building flexibility into the plan and staying consistent.
Since 2019, I have been apart of a tremendous coaching staff at Notre Dame Academy, with my role primarily focused on training the varsity boys runners, helping out the JV team and girls team whenever needed as well. Our boys team won the division two state championship after a couple prior runner up finishes.
I have also been able to develop training plans for myself resulting in a 10K and half marathon PR. I also have several 5K training plans that were effective - not quite a PR, but a PR for post-college/high school; a little harder to beat my times from when I was in the best shape of my life.
