Lori Soriano started Powering Wings Racing in August of 2019, but she has been competing in multisport since 2005. In those days, “winging it” was her personal forte. As she got older and many ironman events later, she realized that her “winging it” days may be over. With a full time job as an engineer and a family to care for, getting the training in is not always easy. With “winging it” no longer an option, if she wanted to avoid injuries and minimize sore muscles, she quickly realized she needed to train smarter and more efficiently to increase longevity in the sport. Training with Power and Heart Rate have really made a difference in making workouts have a purpose and not wasting time on useless training sessions. Knowledge gained from the past 15 years of training, racing, and staying healthy will be used to help athletes realize their full potential. Lori specializes in triathlon, duathlon, cycling and running. She is a Level III USA cycling coach with certifications for Level II to take place in October at Training Peaks University and plans to complete her USA triathlon coaching and race directing certifications in January. Over the next year, you will also see growth in Powering Wings Racing in both new races and race timing. There are current athlete openings for those looking to improve their performance and reach their goals!
