I’m not your typical coach. I’ve not been a runner all my life and I’m not the fastest in the pack. I’ve been injured and I’ve learned all the lessons. But I’m passionate about running and helping new runners achieve what they previously thought was impossible.
’m not your average run coach. I didn’t run in school, I’m not a gifted athlete, I’m not smashing Parkrun records week in & week out. But I love running and sharing that with as many people as I possibly can. I love seeing people achieve their goals, regardless of how ambitious or modest, and develop a lifelong love of running just as I have.
So why run with The Run Foundry?
Because I was just like you.
I came to running as a way to get fit, lose the extra kilos I was carrying around my waist, and just run my first 5k.
What I didn’t expect was just how much I would come to love the simple joy of putting one foot in front of the other.
I now regularly run 5k, 10k and half-marathons and am training for my first ultra distance race in 2023. I have developed my own methods of run coaching that has set me up for a lifetime full of running to come. I’ve been injured, made the mistakes, and learnt the lessons.
And now I want to share these with you.
I have accreditation from Athletics Australia as a Level 1 Community Coach and I’m working on my Level 2 Club Coach accreditation as well as Recreational Run Coach accreditation with AA. I study Exercise and Sports Science at the University of New England which gives me access to the latest research on running, injury prevention and management, recovery, and nutrition.
I believe everyone deserves someone in their corner who will offer encouragement, feedback, and help them achieve everything they set out to.
