Professional Profile: Performance & Coaching

My early success in endurance running, achieving a 10km time of 33:36 and a half-marathon time of 1:16:22 at age 15, established a foundation for high performance. This was quickly followed by an exceptional aptitude for golf, reaching scratch status within 13 months without formal training. After four years of provincial play and two years on tour, my true passion shifted to the psychology and strategy of coaching.

This commitment to peak performance now fuels my career, strongly demonstrated through the success of my children:

Jordan (21): A professional XCO and Marathon Mountain Biker who represented South Africa at the 2022 XCO World Championships (Les Gets, France), deepening my expertise in cycling coaching.

Megan (19): Maintained an undefeated 2023 season and had only three second-place finishes in 2024.

Additionally, I bring recent, relevant experience, including completing the demanding 2025 ABSA Cape Epic stage race.

As the current coach at Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria, I have significantly grown the girls' team from 28 to 49 riders in two years. This team secured the girls' division victory in 2024/2025 and the overall division title in 2025, a testament to the power of "Teamwork makes the dream work."
