I am an 80/20 Endurance Coach and UESCA Run Coach. I help long time runners that feel stuck, discouraged, or doubtful rediscover their confidence and make real progress again. I specialize in training for a half or full marathon by providing personalized support, structure, and the belief needed to reach goals that were once thought out of reach.
I started running in middle school in the Colorado mountains—first for fun, then as a way to de-stress and connect with nature. For years, I focused on 5Ks and 10Ks, until 2018 when running began to feel harder and less rewarding.
Hiring a coach changed everything. With a personalized plan, strength work, and better nutrition, I saw major improvements—eventually qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon twice. Experiencing the power of coaching firsthand inspired me to help others find the same transformation. I earned certifications through 80/20 Endurance and the United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA) and launched Perseverance Training in 2023.
My professional background also shaped my coaching. Since the 1990s, I’ve worked in the animal profession as a zookeeper, where helping animals thrive meant building trust, understanding motivation, and adapting to their needs. Those same principles guide my work with athletes.
The first step is creating a strong, trusting relationship. I want to know: Why do you run? What brings you joy? What challenges do you face? From there, I’ll break down training into small, achievable steps that build confidence and momentum. My goal is long-term success, not quick wins. And just like with animals, I’ll continually assess and adjust your plan—because your needs aren’t static, and neither should your training be.
