In 2010, after not doing anything sporty since high school, I entered a duathlon. After finishing in a very sorry state, I quickly caught “the bug” and entered many more races. To date I’ve raced at every triathlon distance and am a multiple Ironman finisher. I’ve won my age group several times and represented Great Britain at the Cross Triathlon World Championships. In 2017, I out-biked 5 of the 10 female pro athletes at Ironman Mallorca 70.3.
In 2013, I gave up work and went back to University full time as a mature student to study a Sport Science & Coaching Degree. That was the start of my coaching journey which led me to where I am today.
Since 2015, I've been the head coach at a local Triathlon Club and have helped coach open water swimming for other clubs and have helped coach with Triathlon England’s North West Regional Academy. I also sit on Triathlon England’s North West Head Coach Regional Committee.
When I'm not coaching, I'm a bicycle mechanic at a local bike shop. I'm also a fully qualified Level 2 fitness instructor, run leader and an advanced Wattbike tester.
Having coached several athletes on a one-to-one basis in the early days, in 2016 I decided to take the plunge and offer my services out to the wider community after much encouragement from people who keep telling me that I’m good at what I do.
