Statistics say you're twice as likely to achieve goals with a structured training plan. My philosophy is realistic plans, for realistic people with lives outside triathlon.
As a triathlete, sport scientist and triathlon coach, I will use my knowledge and experience to ensure that your training plan is based on contemporary research backed up with sport science and based on your individual goals.


In 2010 after no sport since school, I entered a duathlon to see what all the fuss was about. After finishing in a very sorry state, I caught the bug and started doing triathlons.

I’ve now raced at every triathlon distance and am a multiple Ironman finisher. I’ve won my age group on several occasions (at Sprint distance) and in 2015 I represented GB at the Cross Triathlon World Champs in Sardinia.

I’ve also done a fair bit of running including an ultra. My 400m swim PB is sub 6:00, 10 mile bike TT sub 25:00, 10k run PB sub 40:00 and 1/2 marathon PB sub 1:30.

In 2013, I gave up work and went back to University to to study Sport Science & Coaching. I’m currently head coach of Rossendale Tri Club, help coach open water swimming in summer and help coach at Tri England’s North West Regional Academy.

I also sit on Triathlon England’s North West Head Coach Regional Committee.

When not coaching, I am a qualified bicycle mechanic, Level 2 fitness instructor and qualified Wattbike tester.

Having coached several athletes on a one-to-one basis over the last two years (three of them completing their first Half Ironman last year and five of them currently training for Ironman UK 2016), I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and offer my services out to the wider community after much encouragement from people who keep telling me that I’m good at what I do.
