Coach Bio

I am a cycling and triathlon coach from Clermont, Florida. My cycling passion became riding across the country from Florida to Alaska and back after graduating high school with my Uncle. Years after this trip, I got my college degree, raced full time, and had great results in time trial and all-around road racing. Some highlights include a personal 100-mile time trial record of 3:35:00/28.0mph and 3rd place 30KM USA U-23 National Time Trial. I have my degree in Sports/Exercise Science from UCF.

I became inspired to become a coach at a very young age when I was playing Pop Warner football. The coach gave us a plaque of Vince Lombardi's speech "What it takes to be number one". Being an 11-year-old at the time, I had no idea what an impact this speech would have on me later in life. Our coach tragically died of a heart attack just one weekend after he gave us this speech though the words have stayed with me forever since:

“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.”

This incident changed my mentality for the rest of my life. Rather than think of football and exercise as fun and games, I turned my mentality into giving absolutely every ounce of energy and effort into my athletics and passions. Giving a 100% effort into any race, competition, or challenge that arises in life and leaving nothing behind in training. To train and push my body like there is no tomorrow. While this may be some of the most painful experiences at times, the feeling of triumph and joy after accomplishing the goals is all the more gratifying; a feeling like I do not want to be anywhere else on the planet at the time.

I coach all disciplines of cycling and triathletes and always focus on the aspect of improving athlete’s from where they are at in the present moment, making you the best possible athlete and human being.
