Mindfulness trained Psychology PhD candidate providing goal focused positive coaching for triathletes, cyclists, and runners that want to achieve their endurance goals and still enjoy their life/sport balance.
I'm a graduate student, endurance coach, and multisport athlete. After playing professional paintball for most of my 20s, I decided to return to school so I could make a positive impact in coaching practices and athlete lives. I raced olympic distance collegiate triathlon including at USAT collegiate nationals in 2015. Currently, I race cyclocross for fun.
I am a USA Cycling Level 3 licensed coach. I have been coaching/training athletes in multiple sports(Snowboard racing, Paintball, Cycling, Running, Swimming, etc) for 17 years, the last four focused on the cycling and triathlon disciplines.
My graduate school training is in Behavior Analysis in Psychology. My lab specifically focuses on Rule Governed Behavior, Mindfulness, and Relational Frame Theory which underpin Acceptance and Commitment Training(ACT). My ACT and Mindfulness training informs my coaching and communication methods when I believe it can improve your athlete experience but I promise to never subject you to any experimental methods or use my position as your coach to gather experimental data for my academic work without your express written consent beforehand.
