No two athletes are identical. When training begins, we identify goals, analyze strengths and weaknesses both functionally as well as in your sport, and create a plan that is designed around you, your lifestyle, and your goals. Peak State Fit was inspired by the Aristotle philosophy "Entelechy" which means the realization of potential. When an athlete finds that realization of his/her abilities, can they come closer to reaching "peak state". Our goal is to foster growth in both life and sport.
My name is Pat Casey and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. My wife Heather and I moved here 4 years ago in pursuit of actualizing our dreams by living in the mountains, growing new roots in coaching, and racing bicycles. I am a Cat 1 cyclist, full time triathlon and cycling coach, strength and conditioning coach, and bike fitter!
As an athlete, your sport must be fun to train for, compete in, and ultimately succeed in. Endurance sports require a tremendous amount of mental tenacity, sacrifice, and discipline. This is where coaching plays an integral role in helping to reach one's goals. Through TrainingPeaks, coaches and athletes together can manage time, balance activity with everyday life, and despite the tough times in training and racing, keep the sport fun and engaging. I have been incredibly fortunate to learn from some great coaches, and now spend my time putting those lessons to work with my athletes.
Aside from my activities listed above, I also enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 dogs, drinking coffee, and making people laugh.
