Hi! My name is Omar, and I help ambitious cyclists turn structured training into real‑world speed on the road and in cyclocross.
Academic background
With an M. Sc. in Human Technology in Sports and Medicine and a B. Sc. in Sport and Performance from the German Sport University Cologne, your training is grounded in current sports science and load management principles.
This background enables evidence‑based decisions on everything from interval design to recovery, not just “feel‑good” workouts.
Racing experience
Since 2011, I have been racing as an amateur criterium rider, bringing first‑hand knowledge of high‑intensity, tactical racing to my coaching.
Since 2022, I have also competed in amateur cyclocross, which helps me support athletes who race in technical, variable‑condition events.
Professional role
Alongside coaching, I work as a research associate, staying closely connected to emerging insights in exercise physiology, technology, and performance diagnostics.
This combination of research and coaching allows me to translate complex data into clear, actionable training plans for everyday athletes.
Besides this role, I run my own performance testing lab equipped with CPET and lactate diagnostics for precise threshold assessments and personalized training zones.
Coaching focus
I enjoy working with motivated amateur and club‑level riders who want structured, data‑driven plans that still fit around work, family, and real life.
If you want to race faster, handle intensity smarter, and understand the “why” behind your training, I would be excited to support your next steps
