Hi, I am Olivia Skillings, the head coach and founder of The Artemis Project. I love every kind of endurance sport and am striving to make these sports more accessible and fun to everyone who wants to participate.
I’m excited to work with endurance athletes pursuing goals of any size. While my primary focus is running, I also coach biking and Nordic skiing. Through online coaching, I aim to make training accessible, sustainable, and achievable for athletes at all levels. At the core of my approach are two priorities: taking a holistic view of the training process and meeting you where you are in your journey.
As a female coach in a predominantly male space, I’ve learned to develop my voice and lean into my strengths in meaningful ways. That perspective shapes how I coach. I strive to build strength, confidence, and empower every athlete through a thoughtful, holistic approach.
I graduated from Bates College with a BA in Sociology and Education. At Bates, I competed in four years of Division I Nordic Skiing and one year of Division III Track and Field. I have worked with many coaches throughout my athletic career and their unique styles have shaped my philosophy and approach as a coach. I am currently the head coach of the Glacier Nordic Competition Team. I have a Level 100 coaching certification from USSA, a Level III coaching certification from PSIA, and am in the process of getting my Masters in Sport Coaching from University of Colorado. Additionally, I have received two grants from US Ski and Snowboard, one of which allowed me to spend two weeks on the World Cup coaching and learning.
