Hi, I'm Nick and I enjoy coaching all areas of cycling using both power and heart rate, along with experience in coaching running, triathlon and multisport athletes.
I am based in New Zealand and enjoy seeing people achieve their goals using a structured approach to their training.
I fully believe physical training is only one part of picture and where possible combine this with mental fitness and nutritional health.
I have been coaching now for 10+ years since completing a Bachelor and Post Grad Degree in Sport Science from the University of Otago.
I believe coaching is an education process and if an athlete can understand why they are doing a certain session then its more likely to be successful in their overall plan. I also aim to provide training plans that provide the best results for the least amount of time required. This enables people with busy lives to still train hard and maximise what they do.
I also hold a Post Grad Cert in Nutrition and can provide additional support from a nutritional point of view.
Strength training for endurance athletes is vital and I have years of experience in programming strength sessions for endurance sport. Delivering these via Training Peaks is still something I consider tricky as I am pretty tight on my view of technique, however happy to provide programs to be carried out under supervision elsewhere.
