Ni Bueno

My programs include triathlon coaching, swim stroke analysis, postural evaluation, core stability and mobility training. resistance training, injury evaluation and therapy. I videotape my clients in swimming, biking and running in order to analyze their biomechanical inefficiencies and muscle weaknesses.

My specialty is in working with beginners, cancer survivors, and individuals with other special needs.

Ni Bueno has been a USAT Level I Coach since 2001. She holds a BS degree in microbiology, a MS degree in sports medicine, and an EdD degree in organizational leadership.

While working on her MS in sports medicine, she worked in an athletic training facility with many different types of athletes. Her focus was injury evaluation and biomechanical analysis of movement.

Ni has been a wellness coach and personal trainer since 2000. Her fitness programs focus on postural evaluations and kinetic chain movement. Her approach to personal training is to develop an effective program that will enhance a person's activities of daily living, along with achieving specific and attainable goals.

Her certifications include USAT Level I Coach, American Council on Exercise (ACE) in Health Coach, Personal Training, and Group Fitness Instructor. She also specializes in TRX for Functional Training, Multimodality, and Group Suspension.

Ni's previous coaching experience includes 7 years as head triathlon coach for Team Survivor Los Angeles, a non-profit organization that offers free fitness and health programs to any woman affected by any type of cancer, in any stage of treatment or recovery. She has also coached a variety of individuals worldwide.

Ni is an Assistant Professor of health and kinesiology at Cerritos College. She is the advisor of the Cerritos College Triathlon Club. She has published in .
