As a coach & athlete that knows what it's like to be a beginner in endurance sports, I enjoy helping & supporting others with their journey. My coaching methods are individually tailored to the athlete in regard to lifestyle, schedule, experience and goals. The focus in each plan is to create good habits and lifestyle changes that will help the athlete excel. I also have a focus on women's training in endurance sports.
I am an older age group triathlete with a USAT Level 1 coaching certification, certified running coach, and also a certified personal trainer. I began my own journey in 2015 when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and refused to allow drugs and fad diets to control my life. I discovered running & triathlon and fell in love with not only both sports, but with the community itself. I learned to balance parenting, work, and leisure, while changing my diet & lifestyle habits. Since my start, I've completed 4 marathons, 7 half marathons, several triathlons, including 7 Half Ironman races. I have coached athletes that have competed in several running races including the Marine Corp, and several half & full distance triathlons, including the Ironman African Championships & the Ironman World Championships.
I have learned that all goals can be achieved with true effort, patience and a little out of the box thinking. Using my knowledge, training and life experience, I create training plans that help build a healthier lifestyle and athlete. The ultimate byproduct is falling in love with a sport you never thought you would ever do.
