As a USAT L2, USAC L2, USMS L2, Ironman,Spartan SGX, Nutrition certified coach, I offer a boutique approach to coaching that places an emphasis on communication. This allows the coach and athlete to be in sync to achieve the best result. I also offer video analysis for the disciplines of swim, bike and run. Additionally I offer 3D video Dynamic Movement Assessments. This allows for a prescriptive approach to “energy leaks” and strength work to be outlined for maximum power and injury prevention.
Any quest for excellence requires a balance of both art and science. In no place is this more true than the realm of athletic performance. In order to achieve your best results, you must pay careful attention to not only the data side of training and racing, but also to the “feel” of your performance. When this marriage is achieved, then the results will be optimized. As a coach, this is the balance that I work towards with all of my athletes. I enjoy taking a boutique approach to coaching. I feel this is the only way to tie the art and science together. What does that mean you ask? I think we all have found and agree that a stock one size fits all approach to training plans isn’t the best. When the plan is individualized, the real results can reveal themselves. For me to find that means listening. My style of coaching requires listening to all the data Training Peaks provides, and to gain every ounce of information out of it. Without hearing what my athletes are communicating, spoken and unspoken, it is impossible to help direct an athlete on the best path.
I have been fortunate to race all over the world and am a Kona finisher. As I coach I have also been blessed to coach athletes on multiple levels from beginners to Kona finishers, national champions and local 5k finisher, to first time obstacle course racers. Each of these is equally rewarding in there own way.
