Matt Miller is a specialist MTB coach working with professional and amateur athletes in Enduro, XC, DH and road. He has over 20 international publications focused on MTB performance, including pioneering research into FTP and braking (BrakeAce) in MTB. Matt has 20 years of personal race experience, including elite level in XC and EWS. Athletes Matt has worked with have achieved 8 USA Nationals wins (XC & Enduro), 7th overall in the EWS, 11th in an XC World Cup and top 40 in the DH World Cup.
My coaching philosophy is based on things that work using a data-led scientific approach. Quality, consistency and fun are the three main things we aim for. Our results show that the ideas work - my mountain bike athletes have won the elite USA Enduro National Championship twice, the elite NZ DH National series, Category 1 XC National Championships, a NUET 100-mile win and have represented multiple countries in the World Championships in DH and XC. While I love working with pros, I am an expert at developing the coach-athlete relationship, and have proven ability to get the most of time-crunched amateurs.
