My purpose is to add enjoyment to the fitness and mountain biking experience through taking the beginner to intermediate rider to a higher level of performance.
The goal is creation of a thoughtful, personalized training plan that adapts to the demands of the real world. My clients have real jobs, stressors, and obligations.
Custom workouts, basic nutrition guidance, off-the-bike strength tips, and coaching check-ins, starting at $150/mo.
Me? I am a nerd. (My credentials will read like: occupational therapist, certified hand therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist). I love the science of rehab and sport performance. Since 1996 I've taken countless active and athletic people from injury to peak performance.
I raced category 1 on the road before retiring in 2015 to open my own rehab and performance practice. While I stick to coaching the MTB and general strength and conditioning population, the rest of my team works with soccer players, runners, weight lifters, etc.
My biggest frustration may be watching people settle for less than their potential because of general misinformation or a lack of knowledge. Going harder isn't typically the answer to performance. Going SMARTER is.
I've presented at numerous national and international conferences (example topic - Helping Olympians and Elite Athletes to Achieve: The Role of the Therapist at the Competitive Venue and in the Clinic) and written in various publications (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
