Exercise is medicine. I help you start a home exercise program to achieve an overall fitness that translates to confidence in adventure travel and athletic endeavors. From general health and fitness in exercise, to expeditions involving travel and extensive planning, I will work with you to either get started or improve upon your own knowledge. While I emphasize wilderness and mountain activities, any physical activity is encouraged and I will commit to you to find your outlet.
Aaron is a board certified sports medicine physician, and certified personal trainer through ACSM. We utilize a science based approach with typical training processes in conjunction with specifics to your body. Depending on the package you choose, all packages are customized to you, because you are unique and your needs, strengths and weaknesses are your own. We start with a body core analysis, then using a periodization approach, implement a transition to base program. After that, we move you on to a base program that emphasizes your sport, activity or adventure. The final stage is the specificity period, in which we more exclusively perform activities that you will need for you interests. Most programs are predesigned and involve teaching exercises to build strength, power or endurance. I feel that while important to teach these aspects, it is also important to start you and transition you from where you are now. This will decrease your risk for injury, illness and overtraining syndromes.
