My main focus is coaching cyclists via power and heart rate. My main area of coaching is with youth mountain bikers.
My name is Miles Gentry, I have been coaching endurance athletes for 3 years now. I currently am the Head Coach for the Vail Valley High school Cycling Cub and the Director of Endurance Sports for Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. I work with high-level youth cyclists and cross-country skiers around the Vail Valley. I am experienced in administering cardio tests such as VO2, Blood Lactate, FTP, and FTHR. Using the data from these tests I program custom training plans using power and/or heart rate to help you reach your fitness goals. When I’m not coaching or working with one of my teams, I am a competitive mountain biker myself, racing Cat 2 XC around the state of Colorado.

Athletes must have a Heart Rate monitor that auto unloads. A power meter or smart trainer would be ideal for cycling training.
