MG Cycling has been established for nearly 5yrs based in Chelmsford, Essex, UK . It was set up by former Pro Athlete Russell Hampton to work on handing down his knowledge to other athletes so they have a chance of achieving their goals.

We very much want to be part of the athletes progression so we use the art of coaching backed up by science and metrics provided by Training Peaks to give an all round package that can support the athlete.

Russell Hampton is a Level 3 British Cycling Coach and is discipline specific in Road & TT, Track, MTB, BMX & CX.

We adapt each athletes training around work & lifestyle commitments so that each time they train it has purpose and maximises the training gains. Also a coach, athlete relationship is key to us as they have to believe in what we are doing and trust us. We have still athletes who we coach now that we started with nearly 5 years ago and were still improving them to be better all round athletes.

We dont just work on the training plans we also do 1 to 1 sessions working on technical work like pacing for TT's & Ironman or better bunch position in a RR.

We work with Bioracer and have a virtual wind tunnel that we work on our athletes aero profile to reduce drag and maximise performance that can be built into training blocks.
