Mary Cox   Goumya

Goumya’s philosophy is to get you moving using an approach that will increase your fitness and reach your goals while being there to support training when “life gets in the way”. Whether its running your first or 100th 5k or marathon, Coach Mary offers individualized training programs for beginner and intermediate athletes looking to enjoy the training process and feel great!


Mary became a serious runner as an adult. After multiple age-group wins across different distances and Boston qualification, she realized her favorite part of being a runner is inspiring others around her to get out there and feel great. She is a Certified UESCA Running Coach and Pilates Instructor living in Amman, Jordan, where she created Goumya to inspire more to get on out there and train, support, and inspire each other.
Mentoring athletes on the value of training in a structured and purposeful way is her favorite part of the job. Watching them reap the benefits of training by running strong and accomplishing their dreams is an incredible reward.
Mary continues to pursue new endeavors, including taking 3rd overall woman in her first sprint distance triathlon, completing two IronMan 70.3s, and studying up on the physiology of training for women. She also enjoys learning languages and speaks and trains a bit in Arabic (which is not a language selection in TP).
