Native Czech based in Chamonix, France.
I have a Bachelor degree in Sport Science from Manchester University and I am certified in Ultrarunning Coaching and Sport Nutrition.
In my free time I am an athlete competing in Vertical KM races and training Fastest Known Time attempts on highest peaks of the Alps, Andes and Himalayas.
I work as an Endurance coach for Uphillathlete company. I specialize in mountaineering, running and trail/ultra running.
My name is Martin Zhor. I come from Czech Republic but I have lived in Chamonix, France for the last 12 years. I have been an endurance athlete since very young age, competing in athletics and trail running. Last decade in Chamonix I have looked for endurance challenges in the mountains and developed passion for speed climbing. I have worked on the famous Aiguille du Midi lift at 3800m for the last 10 years which helped me to develop an advantage at high altitudes. I managed to run Mont Blanc from Aiguille du Midi via 3 Monts in 2 hours 10 minutes. In 2019 I succeeded to complete my Three Summits Project: Monte Rosa - Mont Blanc - Gran Paradiso in one push (29 hours climbing - 5,5hours driving), 100km with almost 10000m climbing.
In December 2019 I set a new fastest known time on Aconcagua 6962m, highest mountain of American continent, in 3 hours 38 minutes and 17 seconds from Plaza de Mulas basecamp.
I compete in Vertical KM races and I prepare some fast and light ascents in Karakoram and Nepal next year.
I have a Bachelor degree in Sport Science from Manchester University, UK and I am certified in Ultrarunning Coaching and Sport Nutrition. I plan to expand my knowledge with Master studies in altitude physiology research.
I coach mountaineers and runners from all over the world. Some already successfully climbed Everest, and other of Seven Summits. I coach trail runners for UTMB and other ultra running races and road runners planning for marathons.
