Since developing a passion for triathlon in 2012 Mark has competed at all distances, with a focus on Olympic distance, in which he proudly represented Great Britain as part of the Age Group team at both European and World Championships.
This experience developed Mark's appreciation to the power of mental strength and mindset, and that combined with physical fitness, they unleash our true potential.
Mark's passion to coach grew from his involvement with his local running club, where he is part of the committee and coaching teams, and where he first experienced the satisfaction of supporting others achieve their goals.
No two people are the same and using decades of experience in creating successful teams and developing individuals, Mark shapes his coaching style to best support the athlete.
Through developing a detailed understanding of the athlete, realistic goals are agreed and a plan created that works with the athlete’s strengths, focuses on their development needs and provides the right balance between training and all of life’s other demands. The journey is just as important as the final destination.
Mark has a Diploma in Sport & Fitness with a focus on sports psychology, is a qualified coach with British Triathlon (L2 Dip), British Cycling and England Athletics.
With a focus on adults, especially those of us deemed 'old', Mark understands the changes that age brings to our bodies and takes this into consideration in your plan.
