A Retired U.S. Navy Helicopter Crew-chief, Search & Rescue Swimmer and Instructor, Mangai is an active multi-sport athlete and has completed in triathlon over 20 years completing distances from sprint, Olympic, 5x 1/2 Ironman finisher and 2x full Ironman finisher. In addition to triathlon running also captures his attention completing distance of 5k, 10k, 1/2 Marathon, Marathon and 50k trail run. Other sports hobbies include ice hockey, road cycling, and alpine skiing. A competitive age group athlete, he practices what he preaches, and as a father of three he understands the unique balance of athletics and home life.
