Coach Bio

Working with me is a leading choice for both pro and amateur endurance athletes. The difference between me and other endurance coaches is the scientific background that guides me in the planning of each training program. I have published several scientific publications and obtained a PhD in sports science, giving me the opportunity to transfer the knowledge of the most recent findings into your training program.

Coaching philosophy
My training philosophy is based on the scientific knowledge that I learn every day as a sport scientist and researcher at the University of Milan. This scientific approach, with the experience of many years as endurance athlete and coach, gives me the ability to understand what happens in each athlete’s body and adapt the training following the desired physiological adaptations.
My methods are based on a "sustainable" system, where training and racing are continued almost all year long with small breaks. This equates to year-long training with regular competitive efforts, culminating with the targeted "goal" competition, followed by a brief break from training.
It is my responsibility as coach to maximize the potential of each of my athletes by providing the appropriate mix of training methods and sequencing of workouts as we reach the next level. There is no "magic" workout, but by developing and executing the appropriate "sequence" of responses and adaptations our athletes can reach their potential. The key of the success is to increase the training stimulus in each macrocycle without long stops for injuries.
