I have a passion to help other age group triathletes achieve their potential and enjoy this great sport. Having a coach is not just for the elite age grouper or professional - it is for anyone who wants to be the best they can be. So whether your goal is to finish your first long distance triathlon or qualify for an age group world championship event I would like to help you get there whilst maintaining health and balance in your life.

I like to describe myself as a passionate learner and lover of both the sport of triathlon and the art & science of coaching. A late bloomer athletically, I came to triathlon in my mid 40's as a non swimmer with a blown out ACL joint and no sporting background. Rather than see this as a negative or perceived lack of time in the sport, compared to the myriad of other great and experienced coaches out there - I see this as a positive. In other words I know exactly where the vast majority of age groupers and those new to the sport are coming from. Since getting my first bike and managing to string together a few laps of the pool just five years ago, I have this year qualified for both the 70.3 and IM world championships. I have got there by sheer bloody minded determination, consistency and being open minded and willing to learn and never stop that learning. A professional science background has seen me explore and research what works for the athletes and coaches who I respect. I love working with those new to the sport and particularly enjoy working with women and my local triathlon club members to increase their participation and success. The experienced coaches at TSO have given me the opportunity to work with them to deliver programs that I believe in, to help others achieve their own dreams in swim, bike, run.
