I work with athletes of all levels, from those looking to complete their first Ironman to athletes competing at a WTSC level trying to qualify for the Olympics. My approach is athlete centered, but requires buy-in to long term progression and development over time.
My journey into endurance sports started as an athlete where I competed as a professional triathlete from 2013-2022. This allowed me to race across the world and experience different styles and formats of racing. Furthermore, I worked with a number of coaches through this time which has helped shape my own communication styles.
Throughout this time, I also finished my Master of Sport and Exercise Science (Victoria University) and am currently undertaking a PhD investigating performance, profiling and tapering in elite female swimmers. I have also worked as a sports science within high-performance sport (swimming), working with a number of Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
I have coached athletes across the entire spectrum of ability. This includes relative beginners all the way to seasoned professional athletes in both short-course and long-course triathlon and duathlon. My passion lies in working with athletes who are motivated to improve their performance in the context of their own lives. My fundamental philosophy is that I always aim to facilitate consistency as a cornerstone of the plan which means balancing the application of load such that it remains sustainable long-term with contextual factors in mind.
