Personally an ambitious amateur runner, who has been interested in the science and methodology of coaching for a long time. Experience in coaching a variety of runners at different levels. Focus on integrating a fun way of training into daily life and combining it with the commitments of jobs, families and more.
My approach to coaching depends largely on two aspects: Repetitiveness and Balance. Being balanced as an amateur to me is the key to staying succesful longterm and building up a habit of training and exercise, which will far outweigh any single training session in the longterm. Subsequently, setting up training, which is repeatable under the demands of your personal life (long working days, taking care of family, lots of travel, etc.) is key and what makes coaching amateurs interesting to me - maximising each and everyone‘s potential in their own situation.
My training is therefore centered around making each session manageable and making the little time we can commit to our training count. Not losing sight of fun and recovery inbetween.
Whether you are inspired by exploring nature in trail races or beating your PR in a road race - I enjoy helping each athlete reach their goals and make the most of exercising and sport, whatever this may mean to them.
